This help article shows you how to set weekly and monthly discounts for direct bookings (note that length of stay discounts for the channels are done in the relevant channel manager settings inside Felix).
Go to Settings > Properties > Offers
First, you need to create a second offer.
Press the ‘Edit’ button at the end of the offer number 2 row.
1. In the popup screen, enter an internal name for this price, eg 'Weekly Discount'.
2. For the Enable option select ‘Only if Available’ - with this setting, this price will only appear if the parameters are met, eg. availability and the minimum stay for this price.
3. Choose the position this price will appear in - if you only have a standard price loaded, then you’ll most likely want to put this discounted price in Row 2.
4. Next, choose the minimum stay this offer relates to. In this instance, we’re choosing ‘7’ nights for a weekly discount (choose 28 for monthly).
Leave the booking type and cancellations settings as they are.
5. Finally, enter a display name that will appear on the booking engine, eg. ‘Weekly Discount’ or ‘Weekly Price’.
6. Then make sure you press any Save button on the screen.
Next we need to set up the Daily Price.
Go to Prices > Daily Price Setup
Click on the ‘Add New Daily Price’ button (or edit the template for weekly/monthly thats already there if it is), then click on the edit button next to the new price you have created.
1. Enter the name for this Daily Price rule, eg. 'Weekly Discount'
2. Enter the guest settings for this daily price. If you don’t have extra guest charges, then you just choose ‘Max Room Capacity’ as the rate doesn’t change depending on how many guests stay. Alternatively, if you do have extra guest charges above a certain number of guests, then choose the standard occupancy in the maximum guests box and then state the extra guest charges for this rate in the Extra Person box (this allows you to have a cheaper nightly extra guest rate for weekly bookings).
3. Enter the minimum and maximum stay for this rate, eg. min stay 7 for a weekly discount.
4. Choose the offer row this relates to (the one we just set up in Offers - in this instance, Offer 2 for weekly).
5. Choose the rate/property this discount relates to: we are offering a discount off the standard daily rate, so you need to locate the standard daily rate for this property.
6. Enter the offset percent. In the below example we are offering a weekly discount of 10%, so we enter '-10' in this box to reduce the standard daily rate by 10%.
7. Finally, save your new rate rule.
Repeat for monthly or as needed (creating a new row in 'Offers' for the Monthly rule).
You can now check your discounted rate in action by going to the Settings > Properties page and clicking on the ‘Show’ button corresponding to the property you have just set the discounted rate for.
If you search for a week that is available, you will see two rates appear - the standard rate and then the weekly discounted rate below it.
